Our Story

Henhouse Shoppe was a dream that started in 2008 while I was a single mom raising my daughter. The name began as just a hope that one day I could give back to other women going through the same journey. In 2012, I met my soulmate, Joey, and we married in 2014...
Since then we've added two little boys to our family and we are now a family of 5. In 2016 I began exploring business opportunities in the fashion and retail industry through various brands and businesses, but I still hadn't quite found what I was looking for. Then in the summer of 2018 I felt compelled to start something of my own and so Henhouse Shoppe was officially launched as a Facebook boutique in 2018. A year later in June 2019, we opened our brick and mortar store in my small hometown of Elkton, VA.
My entire life I've loved fashion, shopping, the constantly changing trends and styles of fashion and helping to style people. I've paired my love of all those things with my love of single moms and thus Henhouse was born. One of our hopes is to use this business as a means and platform to be able to give back to single moms and non-profit causes that are near and dear to us in our community.
